Over the last 18 years, Save Water Save Money has innovated and developed several water-saving products that are unique to our company. These water-saving products fall into two categories: Fit & Forget, and those that encourage Behavioural Change.
Save Water Save Money’s water saving products that contain flow control devices are WRAS approved. They are fully tested to ensure you get the same great experience as a non-regulated alternative. In fact, we always seek to enhance the user experience wherever possible.
We work closely with all our manufacturers to ensure the very best flow control possible. The flow controls are also universally compatible as they are uniquely designed for low-pressure systems.
Save Water Save Money’s water saving products are all tried and tested among more than 18 Water Companies in the UK. Since 2007, we have distributed more than 7 million devices to more than 3 million British households to help them save water, energy and money on their utility bills.
Examples of Save Water Save Money’s products for indoors and outdoors are as follows:
Showering is the biggest single use of water in the home, accounting for up to one-third of daily water use. However, according to a recent poll conducted by Water UK, a majority of homeowners are completely unaware of how much water they use. Two-thirds of homeowners believe their household uses less than 39 litres per day, when in reality the average household uses around 150 lites per person per day.
Our shower regulator reduces water flow without needing to change the existing showerhead. Produced in the UK, the shower regulator is designed to cap water flow without impacting the user’s showering experience. It is fitted with a 7.6 litre per minute Neoperl flow regulator and will operate from 0.5 bar pressure. The regulator is only applicable to gravity and mains-fed showers.
The Flowpoint Single Setting Water Efficient Showerhead comes with a built-in Neoperl Flow Control Regulator, available at 7.0 litres per minute operating from as little as 0.2 bar pressure.
One of our latest innovations is the Flowpoint Lumina water-saving showerhead. It is the first showerhead to offer both a reduced water flow and LED lights that change colour to indicate how long a user spends in the shower. A turbine (no batteries required) generates a solid green light display for 4 minutes, turning to flashing green 4-5 minutes, solid red 5-7 minutes, and finally flashing red for 7+ minutes.
Toilets are the second largest water consumers in the home, with each flush using a significant amount of clean, treated water. Over time, this can lead to high water bills and unnecessary wastage, especially in areas where water conservation is crucial.
The Buffaloo Toilet Cistern Bag is a simple, eco-friendly device that helps reduce water usage in single lever toilets. When placed in the toilet cistern, it displaces a portion of the water, reducing the amount used per flush. By using the Buffaloo Toilet Cistern Bag, households can reduce water consumption by 1 litre every single flush.
The Fluidmaster Easy Fit Ultra is the first-ever siphon valve specifically designed to be retrofitted into a dual flush cistern at scale. Once installed, we can guarantee the toilet will be 100% leak free (since there is no seal below the water line). Using a second patented application, the siphon can be retrofitted into most toilets, providing a long and short flush.
Toilet leaks are often hard to detect, with small leaks potentially going undetected. Leaking toilets can waste up to 400 litres of water per day, and could cost households more than £200 per year if not fixed. LeakyLoo are Biodegradable adhesive strips specifically designed to identify leaks in toilets. These strips are made to be placed at the back of the toilet pan and turn blue when they come in contact with water.
Our basin tap inserts are designed to reduce water flow without replacing existing bathroom taps. They include Neoperl flow regulators and operate on taps with low pressure.
A tap aerator is a mesh attachment that screws onto the end of the kitchen faucet. It is designed to reduce the required flow of water from your tap. This chrome kitchen tap swivel attachment comes with an inbuilt 6.7 litre per minute Neoperl flow regulator. It includes two spray patterns and a rotating end so users can direct the flow of water right around their entire kitchen sink.
CombiSmart is a thermostatic valve that is easily fitted to the hot water outlet pipe outside of a combination boiler. CombiSmart helps save both water and energy every time hot water is used, by slowing the flow of cold water passing through the boiler to 3lpm. If you have a combination boiler, you’ll be pouring water and money down the plughole every time you wait for your boiler to heat up. Whether you’re running a shower, rinsing the dishes or washing your hands, all this wasted water is adding to your utility bills. With 25% of an average household energy bill spent heating water (Energy Saving Trust), using less hot water (particularly while waiting for it to get to the right temperature) will save you money on your utility bills, even if you’re not on a water meter.
Designed to store rainwater with sizing available of 100, 200 and 227L capacity. Inclusive of rain diverter kit, tap, stand and lid. Made from recycled plastic here in the UK. Includes Save Water Save Money’s ButtinaBox, a flat-packed water butt which is straightforward to assemble. Optional SUDs overflow adaptation to mitigate against sewer overflows.
Our hose trigger gun is designed to control the use of mains water outdoors. With a choice of 6 or 7 settings, the adjustable control lever lets you fine-tune water flow to suit your needs. The hose gun is frost-resistant and shatterproof and features a soft grip handle.
